The most beautiful beaches around Bonifacio
No two beaches around Bonifacio are alike: wild coves you reach on foot, sandy bays where children can stand for ages, beaches facing the Lavezzi islands. These are the ones we go to ourselves, as a family.

Petit Sperone, the wildest
Gio's favourite beach: a small cove of turquoise water and white sand at the south-eastern tip of the island, facing the islands of Cavallo and Lavezzi.
You reach it after a fifteen-minute walk from Piantarella beach. There is no snack bar and no shade: bring water, a picnic and a parasol.
Piantarella, shallow water
Right next door, Piantarella is a long beach with shallow water, facing Cavallo island. On windy days it is where the kitesurfers gather.
It is also where the coastal path to Petit and Grand Sperone starts, through the maquis.
Canetto, perfect with children
Tucked between white cliffs and the maquis, Canetto is the beach where little ones can stand for a very, very long way out. A small paradise for families.
Cala Longa, facing the Lavezzi
Less than 15 minutes from Bonifacio, Cala Longa is a string of small coves, easy to reach and unspoilt, right opposite the Lavezzi islands and Cavallo.
Sant'Amanza bay, next to the villas
Rondinara, for a day out
About 25 minutes north, on the road to Porto-Vecchio, Rondinara is an almost closed, shell-shaped bay with crystal-clear water. It is one of the best-known beaches in Corsica.
In July and August, get there early in the morning: the car park fills up fast.
Our tips
In high summer, go to the beach early in the morning or late in the afternoon: the light is lovelier and there are fewer people.
Around Bonifacio, the wind changes everything. Before you set off, check where it is blowing from and pick a sheltered beach: we are happy to advise you on the day.
Wild beaches have no facilities: bring water and shade, and take your rubbish home.
